Destination Inspiration | Cape Panwa Hotel, Phuket
Posted: Jan 19 2016
"When we woke at sunrise we were able to see where our last minute decision had taken us, and it was paradise. The beautiful staff made me Pad Thai for breakfast (I love eating dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner) while we sat by the pool watching thunderstorms roll over the palm tree lined mountains. The smell of rain and the ocean had us sure we had made the right choice...
We spent the next few days exploring our enormous villa and hotel grounds, swimming, reading, doing yoga, taking photos, catching up on work and with each other. Cape Panwa took us out to explore nearby islands on their private boat one afternoon, and just as the sun started to set a pod of dolphins came swimming and playing beside us. Although I didn’t get out to explore Phuket town as I did years ago, having our beachside hideaway treat us so well as a restful introduction, and an access point to Thailand that made me so happy I came back.
